Born in Kalamata, Greece, Katerina Palaiologou has been studying music at the Municipal Music Conservatory of Kalamata from the age of 15.She earned a diploma in piano under the tutelage of Pari Karkaloutso and Nelli Semitekolo. She also has degrees in harmony, counterpoint, and fugue with Nikos Tsotras and orchestration with Luka Georga. In June of 2015 she graduated from vocal studies with Christina Giannakopoulou receiving a diploma of excellence, first prize, and a gold medal. She has attended seminars in piano and advanced music theory along with vocal seminars instructed by Kurt Equiluz, Cheryl Studer, Susan Bullock, Ari Christofeli, Haroula Glavopoulou, and Niko Vasileiou. She has also followed classes in melodramatic with Tzemi Drivala. She is currently preparing a repertoire of vocal music with pianists Maria Papapetropoulou and Manoli Papasifakis. Katerina is assistant director and member of the women’s choral group Melifono.
Vicky Vasiliadi, was born in Athens. While at the Philosophical School of the University of Athens, she also studied the flute at the „Athenaeum“ Conservatory in the class of Stella Gadedi from where she got her diploma and a distinction for superb performance. She went on to study at the Conservatoire de Boulogne in Paris, where she was taught virtuosity by P.Y.Artaud. She has also attended flute seminars with W.Bernett and J.Cl. Gerard.
She has given solo recitals and many chamber music concerts in Athens,in various festivals around Greece and abroad. Either as a solist or as an orchestra musician, she has also collaborated with the Center for Modern Musical Research, the Greek Composers’ Union, the “Athenaeum”Baroque Orchestra, the Kalamata Symphony Orchestra and the “Orchestra of Colours”. In addition, she has been member of the National Radio Symphony Orchestra (1993-1999). From 2003 to 2013 she taught at Primary Schools, at the Music School of Kalamata and at the “Kodaly” Conservatory in Athens. She currently teaches the flute at the Municipal Conservatory School of Kalamata.
Maria Papapetropoulou studied piano at the “Athenaion” Conservatory. After being awarded an Onassis Foundation Scholarship, she studied vocal accompaniment at the University o Karlsruhe. She has appeared in a large number of recitals and chamber music concerts in Greece, France, Germany, Italy and Turkey. She teaches accompaniment and chamber music at the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata.
